On May 16 2018, the Polish Research Centre for Law and Economy of China (UW) in cooperation with the Poland-Asia Research Centre (CSPA) invited prof. Justin Yifu Lin to give a lecture at the University of Warsaw. His speech was titled China’s Rejuvenation and its Implications for the World Development and Economics and provided a unique opportunity to learn more the theory of the New Structural Economy.
Professor Justin Yifu Lin is currently the dean of National School of Development at Peking University. In the past he has held the office of the Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. He has earned his master’s degree at Peking University and wrote his PhD thesis at the University of Chicago. He is the author of such groundbreaking books as “The Quest for Prosperity: How Developing Economies Can Take Off” and “The China Miracle: Development Strategy and Economic Reform”. He has been a lecturer or visiting professor at UCLA, Duke University, University of Chicago, Yale University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and many more. He is one of the most influential economists in the world, and his theory of the New Structural Economy is being implemented in multiple countries.
